Using the Right Word

Your Turn Read the rules about usage. Then read the paragraph, which has usage errors. Correct each usage error by writing the correct word, or print the lesson to mark your corrections.

Usage Rules:

  1. Watch carefully for words that sound the same but mean something different: you're/your, to/two/two, for/four, write/right.
  2. Also watch for words that are often confused: bring/take, teach/learn, set/sit, effect/affect.
