Koalas Koalas live in Austrailia. Koalas’ habitats are being cut down. The land that they live on is being made into resorts, hotels, and more. They are called Austrailian Marsupials. They like to climb the high trees there. Koalas have soft, thick fur that is brown or gray on the back and white on the belly. They have large, hairless noses and round ears. Koalas have no tail and have sharp, long toes. Koalas are mainly active at night and they live in the wild they rarely drink water. Koala means no drink. Koalas eat eucalyptus. These animals were once hunted for their fur. In the 1920s they were almost wiped out. Killing koalas is now prohibited by law.
